SCS provides a CareFirst Blue Choice Plan that covers you and your entire family and covers 100% of the premium.
Shield provides 20 days of vacation for the first two years, and 25 days after the first two years. Shield Consulting Solutions also provides 24 hours of code red or yellow reimbursement per year, as well as 10 Government holidays.
SCS employees choose which investment strategy is right for their specific needs and target retirement age. Shield matches up to 6% of employee contributions, which is immediately vested in a Safe Harbor 401(k) plan.
Disability and Life Insurance
Short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance policy premiums are 100% paid for by SCS. The life insurance policy is for an amount equal to 1 year salary.
SCS provides each employee with $5,500 per year to use for tuition & professional training reimbursement. $2,000 of which can be used for computer related purchases, once every 3 years.
SCS provides $600 each year for fitness reimbursements.
SCS provides referral bonuses of up to $10,000 per occurrence.
SCS also provides years of service bonuses, annual performance bonuses, certification bonuses, and degree bonuses.
SCS participates in various events throughout the year. SCS puts on a holiday party every year, which includes dinner and a hotel room. Every fall SCS provides tickets to an amusement park for employees and their families as well as a lunch and hotel room. During the summer SCS has their annual picnic and Shield has happy hours quarterly.
Some previous outings have also been a ski trip, wine tastings, go-carts, and a cruise to Bermuda.
The next Shield Cruise is scheduled for April, 2020, on the brand new ship, The Norwegian Encore.
